SCORE - Chicagoland Area Counselor's to America's Small Business
The South Suburban College Business & Career Institute has counseling assistance for people who wish to start a business or need other business assistance. The counseling is provided through a partnership between Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), Illinois Small Business Development Center at South Suburban College.
The SCORE partnership is headed up by the Regional 2nd Vice Chair, Lee Morris. SCORE is a resource partner of the US Small Business Administration. According to Lee Morris, " SCORE is very pleased to provide counseling assistance to people of this area."
Score is the premier, free business coaching and counseling service for small business entrepreneurs.

Starting your own business can be a challenge.
Although more than half a million businesses are started each year, owning and operating your own business is not something everyone can or should do. You owe yourself a realistic evaluation of your personal and business objectives, individual talents and personality traits.
There's no way to eliminate all the risks associated with starting a small business. However, you can improve your chances of success with experienced guidance.
How does SCORE mentor small business entrepreneurs?
SCORE'S 12,500 volunteers across the country are retired or active business owners and managers with years of experience. They have enjoyed successful careers in business and want to share the experiences of a lifetime with those who are just beginning.
For more than 35 years, SCORE'S business professionals have coached and counseled a whole new generation of small business owners to help them start and grow their companies.
How can SCORE help my business succeed?
As a resource partner with the US Small Business Administration (SBA), SCORE counselors provide small business owners with information vital to success, including advice on business planning, product development, marketing strategies, financing options, and more.
SCORE volunteers help prospective and established small business owners and managers identify problems and find solutions.
