Lady Bulldogs' Freshmen Stars Named All-Region

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–South Suburban College Women's Basketball stars Keona Bruen and Kendra Roper have followed in the shoes of a long list of Lady Bulldogs who have garnered post-season awards.
Keona Bruen, SSC's leading scorer, was named to the 1st Team All-Region IV District D. She was the fourth leading vote getter and narrowly missed qualifying for national honors. Ms. Bruen hails from Indianapolis, IN.
Kendra Roper, of Chicago, was voted to the All-Region IV District D 2nd Team. She led the Lady Bulldogs in rebounding and field goal percentage. She was ranked 7th nationally in field goal percentage at 58%. Kendra hails from Chicago, IL.
"Both ladies represented SSC well this season," said Head Coach Darrell Scott. "They have earned every accolade that they have received thus far, and have set the bar for next season. It has been a pleasure to coach them because, not only are they good athletes, but they are good students and great citizens."
