Overview
The Next Career Scholarship will be awarded in Spring for use in the following Summer, Fall or Spring semesters to a student who has completed a Bachelors
Degree and is returning to South Suburban College to pursue a second degree. The $750 scholarship is awarded to a returning adult student of South Suburban College enrolled in a specific career program of study leading to employment. The award covers educational costs such as tuition, fees and books at South Suburban College.
Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours for the current Spring semester.
- Must have completed at least 9 credit hours with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
- Must provide evidence of having received Bachelors Degree.
- Must have a declared major and/or be enrolled in a specific program leading to a certificate or degree.
- Preference given to applicants who are not receiving other financial aid or employer subsidy.
- Must be a resident of District 510.
- South Suburban College Staff, Foundation Directors, Board of Trustees members and their dependents are not eligible.
