Smith V. Brand Scholarship

Overview

The Smith V. Brand Scholarship in the Fine or Performing Arts is awarded to one student each Spring for use in the following Summer, Fall or Spring semesters at South Suburban College or an advanced level institution. The $1,000 award recognizes outstanding academic performance with an emphasis in the Fine or Performing Arts; curricula or courses to be considered include: Art, Drama and Theater, Music, Creative Writing, or courses in the Performance Arts (i.e. SPE 110, and SPE 111).

Eligibility

• Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a minimum of 12 hours.
• Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the current Spring semester.
• Must have completed or be completing at the time of the scholarship award a minimum of nine credit hours in the Fine or Performing Arts.
