Ralph Jerry Berg Memorial Scholarship

Overview

The Ralph Jerry Berg Memorial Scholarship is presented to one student each Spring semester for use in the following Summer, Fall, or Spring semesters. The $750 award covers educational costs, such as tuition, fees and books at South Suburban College. The award recognizes good citizenship, community service, and responsibility.

Eligibility

• Must have completed a minimum of nine credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above at South Suburban College.
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours for the current Spring semester.
• Must have a declared major and/or be enrolled in a specific program leading to a certificate or degree.
• Must enroll in at least six credit hours for the upcoming Fall semester.
• Must submit a letter of recommendation from a South Suburban College faculty member.
• South Suburban College staff, Foundation directors, Board of Trustees members and their dependents are not eligible.
• Preference given to applicants who are not receiving other financial aid or employer subsidy.
• Must have resided in the Village of Dolton for at least one year.
