Norma Rooney Scholarship

Overview

The Norma Rooney Scholarship is presented to one student each Spring for use in the following Summer, Fall or Spring semesters. The $750 award recognizes outstanding academic performance by a student attending South Suburban College.

Eligibility

• Must be enrolled in at least nine credit hours for the current Spring semester.
• Must have completed at least nine credit hours during the previous Fall semester with a 3.0 or above grade point average.
• Must be enrolled in a specific program leading to a certificate or degree.
• Must enroll for a minimum of nine credit hours for the upcoming Fall semester.
• Preference given to applicants who are not receiving other financial aid or employer subsidy.
• Must be a resident of District 510.
