Overview
The Hui-Ling Hite Scholarship will be awarded in the Spring for use in the following Summer, Fall or Spring semesters. The $750 award recognizes academic achievement by a student attending South Suburban College that has studied English as a second language at SSC. The award covers educational costs such as tuition, fees and books at South Suburban College.
Eligibility
- Must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above at South Suburban College.
- English is the student’s second language and he/she must have studied English in the ESL Program and must provide documentation.
- Preference given to applicants who are not receiving other financial aid.
- South Suburban College staff, Foundation directors, Board of Trustees members and their dependents are not eligible.
- Must be a resident of District 510.
