George Dammer Scholarship for G.E.D. Graduates

Overview

The George Dammer Scholarship for G.E.D. Graduates will be awarded to a student who has graduated from the South Suburban College GED program. The $750 scholarship will be presented in the Spring for use in the Summer, Fall or Spring semesters at South Suburban College. The award may be used for tuition, books or fees.

Eligibility

• A minimum GED test score of 2,750 and official proof of receiving the GED Certificate for the State of Illinois.
• Recipient must enroll in college credit classes within two semesters after receiving the official GED Certificate.
• Must enroll for a minimum of nine credit hours.
• Preference given to applicants who are not receiving other financial aid or employer subsidy.
• South Suburban College staff, Foundation directors, Board of Trustees members and their dependents are not eligible.
• Must be a resident of District 510.
