Dr. Gloria J. Taylor Community Education Scholarship

Overview

The Dr. Gloria J. Taylor Community Education Scholarship will be awarded each year to a G.E.D. graduate who earned between 2,750 and 2,999 points on his/her G.E.D. Examination. The $1,600 award covers tuition, fees and books at South Suburban College. The recipient will be selected by Dr. Gloria Taylor, and the Community Education Scholarship will be presented at South Suburban Colleges 2009 Spring G.E.D. Graduation.

Eligibility

• Must have attended and graduated from South Suburban Colleges G.E.D. Program in 2008-09 school year.
• Must have earned between 2,750 and 2,999 points on the G.E.D. Test during 2007-08 school year.
• Must attend Spring 2008 G.E.D. Graduation.
• Must enroll as a full-time student at South Suburban College for the 2009-10 school year.
• Must be a resident of College District 510.
