The Reverend Cartha McKenzie Sr. Scholarship

Overview

The Reverend Cartha McKenzie, Sr. Scholarship will be awarded to one student to be used during the Fall and Spring semester. The $750 award shall be used toward educational costs, such as tuition and fees, books, or course materials at South Suburban College.

Eligibility

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student during each semester (12 credit hours or more).
• Shall be a graduating high school senior who has maintained a 2.5 grade point average or above.
• Must be a resident of Illinois and District 510.
• Must submit an application form and one letter of recommendation.
• Preference given to applicants who are not receiving other financial aid or employer subsidy.
• Demonstrated financial need.
• Must be a participant in the South Suburban College Educational Talent Search Program.
